Ok, now that I have your attention, let me tell you how much of a waste of time house inspections are. The estate agent today came to do there obligatory house inspection. In following the wisdom of my friend Greg (“Narelle, the house IS allowed to look lived in, you don’t need to go crazy cleaning”) from a number of years ago I didn’t do anything to prepare (ok, well actually I cleaned the bathroom, but it needed doing anyway). Lucky. Said representative of estate agent was in the house for no more than 102 seconds (it would appear I counted). I’m not sure he even looked in every room (and there really aren’t that many), let alone the back courtyard – there could be anything out there! Really, why bother?
